Patient SatisfactionAlcon AcrySof ReSTOR® IOL Patient Satisfaction

Quality of Life

Patient satisfaction of nearly 94%¹

The vast majority of patients who undergo cataract surgery receive monofocal IOLs. While these lenses may successfully correct distance vision, they do not provide functional near vision. That means that patients must wear reading glasses or bifocals to perform routine daily tasks like reading a newspaper, menu or medicine bottle. Most also need glasses to perform activities like playing cards or operating a remote control.

Clinical studies clearly demonstrate the excellent visual performance and acuity of the AcrySof® ReSTOR® IOL. The lens has been proven to provide the highest level of spectacle freedom ever demonstrated in a clinical study – 80% of AcrySof® ReSTOR® patients reported "never" needing glasses following bilateral cataract surgery.¹

It is no surprise that the lens has such a high rate of patient satisfaction. Nearly 94% of study subjects were so satisfied with their results that they said they would have the AcrySof® ReSTOR® IOL implanted again.¹
